TikTok is a danger to American safety and security. We can no longer turn our heads and pretend we don’t see the growing risk of espionage, specifically from foreign actors utilizing this popular app.
The US must remain vigilant and proactive to keep the homeland secure. Our patriots must act fast to crush any rising threat this social media platform imposes.
TikTok Getting Banned in South Dakota Governor and Oklahoma University
South Dakota governor Kristi Noem bans TikTok for state agencies. Noem spoke out following her enactment of an executive order prohibiting state agencies, especially those who contract with them to access the China-owned social media app.
Noem said, “It’s off our networks. It’s blocked off of our servers. Any state employee, anybody who contracts with the state of South Dakota, anybody who uses any of our systems no longer… will be able to download or utilize this app because of the national security threat that it is.”
She added, “It’s so much worse. They’re our enemy and they hate us. This is why it’s so important that other elected officials take action as well.”
Moreover, the University of Oklahoma will be banning TikTok for students and staff. In an email, the school said it would be barring internet access for the app. This would be done in place of Governor Kevin Stitt’s executive order banning TikTok on state devices.
David Horton, the Chief Information Officer, and Senior Associate Vice President wrote in the letter sent to students on Dec. 20. He said, “In compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order 2022-33, effective immediately… no University employee or student shall access the TikTok application or website on University-owned or operated devices… including OU wired and wireless networks.”
Immediately following the governor’s order, Northeastern State University also banned the app.
Trump Was Right about TikTok
Twitter is united in calls to “ban TikTok.” This happened after lawmakers proposed bipartisan legislation to stop the app from operating in the US. Florida Senator Marco Rubio spearheaded the push to ban TikTok… arguing that the reasons to bar the app were easily apparent and widely agreed upon.
The legislation would effectively demonetize any app in China’s orbit. The lawmakers titled it, “Averting the National Threat of Internet Surveillance, Oppressive Censorship, and Influence, and Algorithmic Learning by the Chinese Communist Party Act” or in short, the “ANTI-SOCIAL CCP Act.”
Rubio also exposed TikTok as a Chinese government-sponsored backdoor into Americans’ phones and private data…
Meanwhile, Rebel News correspondent Avi Yemini reminded Twitter users that former President Trump took heat back in 2020… for demanding the app be banned and even issuing an Executive Order to that effect. He said, “It took them long enough to realize Trump was right again.”
Trump has proven to be correct yet again. If there were ever a POTUS that earned a second term, it was Trump. His perceptions are accurate, his work rate is beyond any career politician’s abilities, and his policies are generally correct.
